4.5. Orchestrating Prebuilt Agents and Microsoft 365

Microsoft 365 includes a growing ecosystem of prebuilt agents and Copilot capabilities. The architect's role is to orchestrate these capabilities for maximum business impact — selecting the right agents for specific scenarios, configuring Copilot for Sales and Service, and extending Microsoft 365 Copilot with custom agents.

The key insight for this section: Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot for Sales, and Copilot for Service are not three separate products. They're layers — M365 Copilot is the foundation, and the "for Sales" and "for Service" variants extend it with role-specific capabilities.

⚠️ Common Misconception: Copilot for Sales and Copilot for Service are standalone products separate from Microsoft 365 Copilot. In reality, they extend M365 Copilot with CRM data integration, role-specific actions, and domain-specific intelligence — all running within the M365 Copilot experience.
