Accessibility Statement

We want every learner to be able to study with MindMesh Academy, regardless of how they use the web.

Our commitment

MindMesh Academy is working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We have not yet completed a formal audit, but we treat accessibility as part of the product, not a checklist — every release adds or improves something for learners using assistive technology.

What is in place today

Keyboard navigation

Quizzes use native radio and checkbox inputs; navigation uses real <button> and <a> elements. In quiz and flashcard sessions: Enter flips a flashcard, Space flags the current question or card for review, ← / → moves between items, and a–f selects a quiz answer choice.

Screen reader hints

Pages use semantic HTML headings, descriptive link text, and aria-label on icon-only buttons (dark mode toggle, mobile menu, social links). Mermaid diagrams in study guides render as inline SVG so screen readers can traverse them.

Visual options

A site-wide dark mode toggle, layouts that reflow on mobile and tablet widths, and Tailwind text sizes that scale with the user's browser font-size preference rather than locking to fixed pixels.

What we know is not done yet

We would rather be honest about open gaps than overclaim. The following items are known and on our backlog:

  • Reduced-motion preference. The flashcard and a few transition animations do not yet honor the operating system prefers-reduced-motion setting. Framer Motion supports this — we just have not wired it up.
  • Formal contrast audit. We use a small set of curated color tokens and check pairs by eye, but we have not run an automated WCAG AA contrast audit across every screen. Expect a pass during the next design refresh.
  • Screen-reader testing. We have not yet completed structured testing with NVDA, JAWS, or VoiceOver. If you use a screen reader, your bug reports go straight to the top of our backlog.
  • Third-party embeds. Stripe checkout and reCAPTCHA on signup follow their providers' accessibility standards rather than ours, but they are tested by their teams to be keyboard- and screen-reader-operable.
