6. Exam Readiness & Strategy

This phase prepares you tactically. Understanding the exam mechanics is as important as knowing the content.

Why this matters: the DP-900 is not a memory test with a time limit — it is a comprehension test where the clock is generous and the distractors are the difficulty. Candidates who fail rarely do so because they did not know a service; they do so because they answered the question they expected rather than the one on screen.

💡 The mental model: every scenario question carries one decisive clue — a protocol, a latency figure, a named dependency, a phrase like "without changing application code". Find that clue and the answer follows. Everything else in the stem is context designed to make several options look reasonable.

⚠️ The trap: answering from the first recognised product name. If two options both look right, you have not yet found the decisive clue — go back and reread the requirement rather than choosing on familiarity.
