1.2. The Control-Convenience Spectrum
💡 First Principle: Every cloud service sits on a spectrum from maximum control (you manage everything) to maximum convenience (the cloud manages everything). There is no "best" position—only the right position for your requirements. Moving left gives you flexibility but demands expertise; moving right reduces burden but limits customization.
This matters for the exam because many questions ask you to choose between IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS options. Understanding the spectrum lets you match requirements to the appropriate service model.
⚠️ Exam Trap: treating "more managed" as strictly better. There is no best position on this spectrum, only the right one for the stated requirement — and a single unsupported dependency makes the more convenient option simply wrong, however attractive "fully managed" sounds in the answer list.
