9.1. Domain Weight Strategy and Study Priorities
The October 20, 2026 outline has four domains. Fundamentals is the largest, and the other three are equal, so balanced preparation matters more than piling time onto one area.
| Domain | Weight | Phases |
|---|---|---|
| Understand generative AI fundamentals | 25–30% | 2, 3 |
| Manage prompts and chats | 20–25% | 4, 5 |
| Manage business content and collaboration | 20–25% | 7, 8 |
| Drive business outcomes by using agents | 20–25% | 6 |
Priority tiers for your final review:
| Priority | Topics | Why |
|---|---|---|
| P1 — Highest | Chat vs agent vs Cowork; responsible AI risks (fabrication, injection, over-reliance) and verification; save vs schedule vs share; Work IQ on/off; prebuilt vs custom agents | Heaviest domain plus the decisions that appear across every domain |
| P2 — High | Cowork: approvals, side panel, pause and cancel, skills, scheduled and event-driven tasks, limitations; prebuilt agent matching; Facilitator; Intelligent recap licensing | The new agents domain and newly named meeting features: 20–25% of the exam with fresh, specific rules |
| P3 — Solid | Memory (three parts, what deleting does); refining prompts; model selection; chats (All chats, rename, delete); notebook sharing rules; connectors; Pages | Regularly tested, with concrete rules |
| P4 — Know the basics | Image and chart generation; data privacy architecture; sensitivity labels and DLP; Basic vs Premium tiers; app feature matrix | Tested, but usually as one or two direct questions |
