3.4.2. Hub Configuration
When you create a hub, you specify:
- Region: Where the hub deploys
- Address prefix: The hub's VNet CIDR (managed by Azure)
- Gateways: VPN, ExpressRoute, or both
Gateway scale units determine throughput:

Hub-to-hub connectivity is automatic in Standard SKU. Traffic between hubs flows through Microsoft's backbone with optimal routing.
