💡 First Principle: Researcher and Analyst are specialized Copilot agents for tasks requiring deeper reasoning and extended processing. Researcher synthesizes information across multiple sources into reports; Analyst performs advanced data analysis with Python code generation. They complement standard Copilot for complex tasks.
Researcher Agent:
- Purpose: Multi-step research that synthesizes information into comprehensive reports
- How it works: Queries multiple sources, cross-references information, produces structured reports
- Use case: "Research our competitors' AI strategies and create a comparison report"
- Difference from standard Copilot: Extended processing, multi-source synthesis, report generation
Analyst Agent:
- Purpose: Advanced data analysis using chain-of-thought reasoning and Python
- How it works: Understands complex analysis requests, generates and executes Python code, creates visualizations
