4. Visualize and Analyze the Data (25–30%)

A model nobody can read is a model nobody uses. This phase is about the report layer: building pages with the right visuals, formatting, and filters (4.1); adding interactivity that guides people through a story (4.2); and using Power BI's built-in analytics and AI to surface patterns a human might miss (4.3). The exam tests this domain with practical scenarios: which visual answers this question, which feature produces this behavior, which setting stops users exporting detail. Read each stem by asking: what should the report reader be able to see or do, and which feature delivers exactly that with the least effort?

Think of each report page as the answer to one business question: every visual, filter, and interaction on it should serve that question.

⚠️ Exam Trap: Hiding a filter or a visual isn't security. Users with Build permission can still query the underlying data, so restricting rows requires row-level security.
