💡 First Principle: A certification validates your knowledge at one point in time — but AWS releases new services and features weekly. The developers who stay current are the ones who build learning into their routine, not just their exam prep.

What separates a certified developer from an effective certified developer? Ongoing practice. Consider that Lambda, DynamoDB, and EventBridge have all received major capability updates in the past year alone. Without continuous learning, your certification knowledge becomes stale within months.

Hands-On Practice

The single most effective thing you can do after passing is build something real:

• AWS Free Tier — 12 months of free-tier access to core services. Build a serverless API with Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and Cognito
• AWS Workshops (workshops.aws) — Guided, hands-on labs for specific services and patterns
