7. Maintain Infrastructure with Terraform (~8%)

Real infrastructure isn't always born in Terraform — sometimes you inherit resources created by hand or by another tool and need to bring them under management. And when something goes wrong, you need to inspect what Terraform believes exists and turn up the diagnostic detail. This phase covers those day-two maintenance skills: importing existing resources (classic and the newer import blocks), inspecting state from the CLI, and enabling verbose logging. Each maps back to the reconciliation model — these are tools for aligning Terraform's record with reality and for seeing inside its decision-making.
