6. Manage Projects with GitHub (5-10%)
Issues and pull requests track individual pieces of work, but someone still needs to see the whole picture — what's planned, what's in progress, what's blocked. GitHub Projects is that planning layer, and this phase covers how it's laid out, configured, and read for status.
Think of GitHub Projects as the dashboard that sits above individual issues and PRs — without it, that whole-picture view has to live in someone's head instead, which is exactly the gap the exam tests when it asks what Projects adds that issues alone don't. ⚠️ Exam Trap: a Project can pull in issues and PRs from multiple repositories at once — treating it as scoped to a single repository is a common miss.
