Cosmetology Certification Exam Prep

The Kentucky Board of Hairdressers and Cosmetologists administers state licensing exams for esthetics, cosmetology, nail technology, and instructor credentials. Exams are delivered through PSI Services. Passing both the theory and practical exams plus completing the required school hours is required to legally practice in Kentucky.

The Esthetician theory exam covers Kentucky-specific safety and infection control rules, skin analysis, facial treatments, hair removal, makeup application, chemistry of skincare products, and the regulatory framework that governs licensed estheticians in the state.
